E-commerce Website Administrator
Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, a UAE-based consumer electronics and mobile accessories brand, is opening its Syria operations: a flagship showroom in Al Sha'laan, a country office in Kafr Sousa, and a warehouse in the Adra Free Zone. They are hiring an E-commerce Website Administrator to run the online store for the Syrian market end to end: listings, pricing, stock, promotions, and orders. This is a hands-on operational role for someone who has actually run a store day to day, not only supported one. The store runs on Zid.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain product listings: titles, descriptions, specifications, images, categories, and attributes, in Arabic.
- Keep pricing and stock accurate and in step with the warehouse and the showroom, and handle out-of-stock and restock changes promptly.
- Set up and run promotions, discount codes, bundles, and seasonal campaigns on the store.
- Process and track orders through to delivery, coordinating with the warehouse and the delivery provider and resolving issues.
- Maintain site content: banners, landing pages, category art, and homepage placement, working with the design team.
- Monitor store performance (traffic, conversion, best and worst sellers, abandoned carts) and report to the Digital Marketing Manager with recommendations.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints that come in through the store, and escalate what needs escalating.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of hands-on e-commerce operations experience for the Syrian market, owning listings, pricing, stock, and orders.
- Zid platform experience (mandatory).
- Strong Arabic product copywriting: clear, accurate listings that read naturally and convert.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets for bulk uploads, price and stock updates, and basic reporting.
- Understands local delivery, payment, and cash-on-delivery realities in Syria and how they affect order flow.
- Accurate and methodical; a wrong price or stock number on the store is a real cost.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with electronics or mobile accessories catalogues, where specifications and variants matter.
- Familiarity with Odoo or another ERP, and with syncing stock between systems.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics (GA4), and Meta or TikTok product catalogues.
- Experience coordinating between a warehouse and an online store.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary, to be discussed based on experience.
- A ground-floor role in a new market entry, with the chance to shape the team and the work from day one.
- Backing of an established regional brand with a full product range and marketing support.
- Full ownership of the online store for a brand entering the market, with the catalogue built from zero.
