Electrical BIM Modeler
Job Description:
The Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading MEP contractor establishing its engineering office in Damascus. As Electrical BIM Modeler, you'll build detailed 3D electrical BIM models for large-scale construction projects and turn them into clean, submission-ready shop drawings, working alongside a multi-discipline team.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain electrical BIM models — switchgear, transformers, DBs, MCCs, UPS, cable trays — to LOD 300–400.
Extract coordinated shop drawings from Revit: layouts, cable-tray routing, panel schedules, single-line diagrams, and installation details.
Run multi-discipline clash detection in Navisworks Manage and resolve clashes with MEP, structural and architectural teams.
Produce and maintain federated NWC/NWD files, clash reports and issue logs.
Update models to as-built and support COBie / FM handover data.
What We're Looking For
2+ years as an Electrical BIM Modeler in an MEP contracting environment, on large commercial, hospitality, healthcare or infrastructure projects.
Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Advanced Autodesk Revit MEP; experienced with Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.
Solid grasp of HV/LV distribution, lighting, cable sizing, earthing/bonding, ELV and fire alarm systems, and the ability to read single-line diagrams and specifications.
Professional working English and fluent Arabic.
Based in Damascus and able to work on-site at the engineering office.
Nice to Have
GCC project experience and familiarity with IEC / NFPA 70-101 and local authority requirements.
Experience working directly for an MEP subcontractor (not consultant or developer side).
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
What You'll Get
Competitive base salary reflecting your experience.
A foundational role in a newly established engineering office, backed by an established regional MEP contractor.
Work to international BIM standards with a modern Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud toolchain.
A professional, international-standard environment built on quality, clear coordination, and room to grow.
