About the Role

The Dentist delivers the full range of general dental care to the complex's outpatient population — diagnosis, restorative treatment, extractions and preventive dentistry. The role carries independent clinical responsibility within an established outpatient facility. A minimum of ten years of clinical practice is required to satisfy Oman Ministry of Health licensing conditions for this post.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose and prepare treatment plans for dental and oral conditions.
• Perform restorative procedures, extractions, root canal treatment and routine preventive care.
• Order and interpret dental radiographs to support diagnosis.
• Advise patients on oral hygiene, prevention and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Ministry of Health documentation standards.
• Ensure sterilisation, infection-control and patient-safety protocols are followed in the dental unit.
• Refer complex or specialist cases appropriately and coordinate with the wider clinical team.

Required Qualifications

• BDS / DDS or equivalent recognised dental qualification.
• Minimum ten years of clinical dental practice, as required under Oman Ministry of Health licensing conditions for this position.
• Competence across general dentistry: restorative work, extractions, endodontics and preventive care.
• Professionalism, strong patient communication skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Arabic (native or fluent); English sufficient for clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Oman Ministry of Health / OMSB practising licence, or eligibility to meet Omani licensing requirements (including the Prometric examination).
• Prior experience in a private clinic or polyclinic setting in the GCC.
